Room Use and Property Damage Policy 

All members, groups, organizations or individual reserving space at The DEC at RedBird are responsible for the room and its contents during the scheduled reservation time. The member, group, organization or individual reserving the space agree to abide by, and make other members participating in the event aware of, all laws, rules, regulations, policies and ordinances pertaining to the use of University property, furnishings, and equipment as noted below. 

  • Damages - The member, group, organization or individual reserving the space is responsible for any damage to the area reserved, including property, furnishings and/or equipment. If damage should occur, the member, group, organization or individual reserving the space shall be held responsible for costs incurred and the repair or replacement of the damaged property, furnishings or equipment. 
  • Removal - Removal of property, furnishings or equipment assigned to university facilities is strictly prohibited. 
  • Cleaning Charges - Additional cleaning charges may result if the reserved space is left excessively disordered. It is the responsibility of the member, group, organization, or individual reserving the space to restore the space to the condition in which it was received. 
  • Liability - Theft of personal effects occurring in connection with the event shall in no way be the responsibility of The DEC Network or its staff. 

Failure to comply with policies and procedures governing use will result in the denial of future reservation requests and damage charges.

 

Member Space Guidelines 

  • Please be courteous to all members and guests who come to the site each day.
  • Should any guests be accompanying a member for the day please let the staff know, so documentation of visitors can be kept. 
  • Should guests come by in the coworking area, please limit the occupancy to your working station (co-working stations four to table max). 
  • Please keep outside media, music videos, etc. to conference rooms or use headphones for personal devices. 
  • No moving of furniture unless approved beforehand. 
  • Please be courteous to others by keeping belongings in designated work areas.
  • If you are present after 7:00 PM once the mall is closed, let mall security know that you are present in the building 
  • No one else besides members with 24-hour access should be present in the space after 9 PM. 
  • Virtual Membership and Co-Working: Take all personal items home at the end of your workday, please clean your area before leaving for the day. 
  • Dedicated Desks: Please limit items, merchandise, plans, and product, to your desks, if items are on the floor please make sure others have access to their desks and there is no tripping hazard. 
  • Please keep your work area neat and clean. 
  • Refrain from giving entrance cards or the door code to individuals outside of your business colleagues per the lease agreement. 
  • Office: Please refrain from posting any inappropriate media on occupancy windows or profane language. 
  • Please keep your office neat and clean.
